Screened-in Porches

We enclosed a second-story Manhattan Beach home with a heavy-duty privacy screen. Neighbors cannot see inside, while the views from inside are spectacular. The screen also limits the harsh, cold ocean winds from reaching the homeowner’s balcony.
We converted an unused outdoor space into a wonderful shared human/feline area. The cat guardians can enjoy spectacular views without being eaten alive by mosquitos, while the fur family has a fabulous outdoor playground.
This gorgeous screened-in porch/catio is the second Custom Catios enclosure for the cat guardian and her two furballs. Inside there is plenty of space for the hooman to hang with her fur family. For the kiddos, it’s a full-on cat-Disneyland.
The client got permission from the city to screen in their front-facing balcony off the master bedroom. We used custom redwood screencaps, which enabled us to match the colors perfectly.

Screened-in the second-story balcony of a Santa Monica condo for a high-energy bengal cat named Rufio. Rufio is a tough customer but the guardians say the catio has made a world of difference in his behavior.
Built on the front porch, the large Newhall screened-in porch/catio essentially expands the home for the cat guardians and gives the furballs a unique outdoorsy space. Everyone wins!
